Research Webinar: Dialogical Ways of Being
The Research Working Group is pleased to invite you to its first webinar, titled “Dialogical Ways of Being”, featuring Bjarne Vind Sørensen in conversation with Raffaella Pocobello.
In this seminar, Bjarne will present his research on the value of presence, stillness, and the unspoken in dialogical practice. Drawing from his work in a social psychiatric setting, as well as philosophical insights and the Open Dialogue tradition, Bjarne explores how being with the other—without pressure to act, speak, or understand—can itself be a powerful form of care.
His research invites us to reconsider the focus on goals, diagnoses, and action, and instead turn our attention to the silent, relational space where true connection and recognition may occur.
Bjarne’s thesis is available as a PDF at this link.
The session will offer space for reflection and exchange on how we meet each other as human beings. It is also a chance to collectively reflect on the essence of dialogical practice, and how we can embody and sustain it within our networks and communities.
The webinar will take place on Zoom. Participation does not require registration and the webinar is free of charge.
We look forward to welcoming all those interested in deepening their dialogical presence.
